Message from the EMS Performance Improvement Center regarding PreMIS Mobile/Simulator use

As directed by the North Carolina Office of EMS, all EMS agencies in North Carolina were required to be compliant with the national NEMSIS dataset as of January 31, 2007.  When this plan was announced in January of 2006, it was also announced that the PreMIS Mobile/Simulator Application would not be upgraded to this NEMSIS standard.  Instead all PreMIS Mobile/Simulator users would be migrated to the new PreMIS Version 2 Web Application.  If you are receiving this email/message, you have not yet migrated from the PreMIS Mobile/Simulator Application to the PreMIS Version 2 Web Application.

EMS Toolkit Grant Program

What is the Purpose of the 2008 EMS Toolkit Grant Program?

The purpose of the EMS Toolkit Grant Program is to improve and enhance North Carolina’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) response times.  North Carolina EMS systems have expressed that performance issues often require additional financial resources otherwise not available to the EMS System.  The EMS Toolkit Grant Project is a new and exciting opportunity for North Carolina EMS Systems to obtain needed monetary resources for this very important cause. NCOEMS through The EMS Toolkit Grant Program is designating $1,600,000 for the project year, January 1, 2008 – December 31, 2008 in a competitive funding opportunity.  Receipt of these funds by NC EMS systems is based on successful review of an application.
