South Carolina State ID Search and Registration
- With your web browser, go to https://apps.emspic.org/CIS/Go
- To begin searching for your State ID, select the Click Here for the Public Access Site link.
- Next select South Carolina from the State picklist.
- Click the Enter Public CIS button to display the Public Search page for South Carolina CIS.
- To begin searching for your State ID, select the Personnel link in the menu on the left.
- Next select the Personnel Search link.
- Enter your last name in the Last Name field. This field is not case-sensitive.
- Enter your first name in the First Name field. This field is not case-sensitive. Note that you can enter part of a name in either field if you wish.
- Click the Search button to proceed with the search.
- The User ID that is listed is your State ID.
- The View link allows you to see your certification information.
- If you found your State ID STOP HERE. Do Not Create a New Account
If you do not find your information in CIS:
- If you know you are a credentialed EMS technician in South Carolina, then you should contact Matt Gawthrop at the EMSPIC (mgawthrop@emspic.org) to find out if your correct name is listed on your account.
- If you are not a credentialed EMS technician in SC, proceed with the steps below to create an account.
- With your web browser, go to https://apps.emspic.org/CIS/Go
- Select the Click Here for the Public Access Site link.
- Next select South Carolina from the State picklist.
- Click the Enter Public CIS button to display the Public Search page for South Carolina CIS.
- Select the Profile link from the menu on the left.
- Next select the Register to Use CIS link.
- Note that all fields on the screen that appears that are marked with an asterisk (*) are required fields - you have to put something in them before you can submit the form. Your birthday is also a required field if you wish to later register for and take a certification exam.
- It is best to submit as much information as you can to make your record in CIS as complete as possible.
- Remember that your password must include at least one "special character" such as a number, "$" sign, "@" symbol or other character that is not a letter. The password must also be at least six characters in length. These requirements help make passwords more secure in CIS.
- Make sure that you click the Save button so that your form may be processed for registration.
- If your registration is successful, your State ID will be displayed as shown. If your registration was not successful, any form errors will be displayed for correction and you will not receive a State ID. Make sure that you write this down as it will be the ID you will use to log in to CIS.
