GREETINGS TO INVITED PARTICIPANTS

The National EMS Information System Technical Assistance Center (NEMSIS TAC) and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Department of Emergency Medicine, EMS Performance Improvement Center (EMSPIC) are pleased to host the upcoming NEMSIS Version 3 Software Developers Meeting.

WHAT IS THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS MEETING?

This is a pivotal meeting for any EMS Software Developer who will be developing a Local EMS Agency, State, Medical Device, Billing, Dispatch, or Disease Specific software using the NEMSIS Version 3 Standard. Discussions will focus on a range of topics highlighted in the agenda. Please review the agenda draft for a detailed listing of these items. Additionally, if there is a topic not included on the agenda that you would like to see discussed at the meeting, please email Abby Roberts at aroberts@emspic.org with your suggestion.

WHO IS ATTENDING?

This meeting is open to all state EMS Software Developers and Data Managers. This meeting will focus on software development and computer programming specifications. EMS agencies who are actively using existing EMS software or sales representatives associated with EMS software products should not be attending this meeting.

WHEN AND WHERE WILL THE MEETING BE HELD?

The NEMSIS Version 3 Software Developers Meeting will be held on August 16 and 17, 2010. It will be held in the North America Room at the Grand Hyatt DFW hotel, located within the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport in Dallas, Texas.

Please note:

• Snacks and meals will be provided as listed on the agenda throughout the meeting. Coffee, water and soda will also be available throughout the meeting.
• Electrical outlets will be available throughout the meeting room but participants will be responsible for their own internet access.
